Dobra Tea House

I took the boys on an ill-advised "date" to Dobra Tea House in downtown Burlington after picking Mark up from preschool. Good grief. Okay, not good and lots of grief. But their Masala Chai was unbelievable and this picture of Fisher was worth it. (Mark blowing out votive candles, hopping up and down, trying to lick honey straight from the spoon and leaning into the unsecured glass table top was not. You know a place is not kid-friendly when they say on the first page of the menu: "Suitable times for drinking tea...when the children are at school....Unsuitable times for drinking tea...when the children are home from school." And while I would have enjoyed my tea much more if my kids were elsewhere, I do not need that attitude, no thanks.)

I know what you mean. Taking Oliver to a restaurant means one adult constantly on alert the minute he gets down and wants to get into everything. That person is usually Grandpa, which means I miss the adult conversation. Wouldn't it be great to have a restaurant that would be kid friendly and kid proof! Viva Expresso
