Christmas in Burlington

We had the loveliest, mellowest holiday season to date. We missed family and friends like crazy, but enjoyed the quiet, beautiful day. After verifying that Santa had come (cookies and carrots eaten) we fed the chickens and played around outside (temperatures in the 40s), opened stockings and ate breakfast. Though Mark and Fisher had full stockings they were only interested in the battery-powered trains Santa was savvy enough to bring. Then Mark and I headed over to Viva to make coffee for a community dinner for senior citizens while Wayne and Fisher went on a run. We met up at the dinner. So sweet. Hopefully it will be an annual event.
